Guide Magic Call is a rare, delicate, and highly specialized form of magic that can manifest only in Guides. It is not telepathy in the usual sense—it is a magical resonance, a brief pulse of intent that only another Guide can perceive.
GMC is silent, fast, and unmistakable. And most importantly: it cannot be faked.
🜂 The Nature of GMC
A GMC is a magical signal that:
originates in a Guide’s aura,
carries a short, unambiguous message,
can be received only by another Guide,
and is interpreted according to the receiver’s nature.
Kerru sends a calm impulse. Bipilon interprets it as a sarcastic remark. Lira feels it as a gentle warning.
The content is the same—the form is theirs.
🜁 Who Can Use GMC
Only Guides.
Not other species. Not humanoid races of Tal’gorr. Not artifacts.
GMC is a mutation, not a species-wide ability.
Kerru → yes
Bipilon → yes
Lira → yes
Hr’kall → absolutely not
ordinary Ilaru → no
ordinary lizard → no
If a creature is not a Guide, GMC simply does not concern it—its aura is “deaf” to this type of resonance.
🜃 How GMC Works
When asked how GMC functions, Guides usually answer something like:
“Well—normally…”
And they’re right. For them, it is as natural as blinking. For everyone else, it is incomprehensible, invisible, and sometimes unsettling.
🜁 How GMC Does Not Work
If one Guide tries to send another Guide a message like: “Hi, how are you?”
…that message will not be sent. The magical resonance will instead rebound and hit the sender full force.
The result is usually: a headache, temporary aura distortion, and in Bipilon’s case, several minutes of uninterrupted swearing.
GMC is not a chat. GMC is an emergency channel.
🜃 Does GMC Have a Maximum Length?
Yes. It is 160 characters. No one knows why.
Guides say, “That’s just how it is.” The Academy says, “That makes no sense.” And the steam in the Library says, “160 is perfect.”
Bipilon’s Note
“GMC? That’s when someone slips into your head without knocking. But don’t worry—I only do it when it’s necessary. Or when I’m bored.”
