Low, elongated creatures with lizard‑like bodies and wings that look like shards of broken glass.
Their scales shift color with the light — from pale white with orange flecks in the heat of day to gray and dusty brown tones in the dusk.
Their wings are relatively small, translucent, iridescent, and useless for flight — more like ornaments or an unknown organ than anything aerodynamic.
During the day they crawl across the rocky plain, spreading their wings as they search for a shade that doesn’t exist.
From time to time they make their wings vibrate, producing a faint buzzing sound that feels loud in the suffocating silence.
Their movement is jerky and slow, as if they were trying to escape the heat but had nowhere to go.
They seem like creatures whose entire existence is an endless search for shelter and rest.
On the plains beneath the Twin Suns they are more backdrop than actors — slowing time itself, drawing the observer into the rhythm of a world that doesn’t move, only burns.
Bipilon’s Note
“Wings that don’t fly and a life spent chasing shade. Honestly? I’ve seen worse fates. Just not many.”
