➤ [6·3] 🪶 The Thalgorrin Park Incident
Today, Thalgorrin once again proved why steam escapes even from structures that have no pipes. Inspection Day in the city park was meant to be a simple verification of pressure gauges — decorative dials mounted on the brass railing of the pavilion.
But Delegators never inspect only what the Task says.
A member of the city council, an esteemed brother of the Guild of Free Delegators, arrived with blank folders, an intentionally scuffed coat, and concerns “from the highest places.” The foreman showed him zero. The Delegator showed him that zero can be a problem.
Thus came the requirement: check the gauges every hour, retroactively from last Tuesday, in triplicate.
Thalgorrin once again became a city where reality bends to paperwork.
➤ Thalgorrin City Park
The pavilion at the park’s magical center — a center that refuses to align with the geometric one — gained another layer of reputation today. The hollow thirty‑foot column occasionally exhales steam, as if reminding everyone that Thalgorrin must never become the third moon.
The brass plaque says it clearly. Delegators hear it differently. And the foreman now knows that in Thalgorrin, nothing is so decorative that it cannot become administratively dangerous.
➤ Conclusion
Today added two new threads to the map of Sionareth:
Thalgorrin → Pavilion → Pressure Gauges → Guild of Free Delegators and Thalgorrin → Plaque → Warning → Third Moon
And the world became a little more absurd. A little more bureaucratic. And a little more Thalgorrin.
Bipilon’s Note
“Sure. Install a gauge to stop stupid questions.
And then discover you’ve summoned a committee.
In Thalgorrin, that’s worse than magic.”
